Welcome to Sacred Haka – A Bridge To Union Retreat
As the days get shorter and the nights get cooler join Matiu Te Huki and Sarsha Hope for this deeply profound, healing and transformational retreat where we drop into a space of ritual, connection to spirit and nature to find our own embodied leader, compassionate warrior and integrated power.
In this interactive long weekend experience we cover traditional Maori practices including the warrior spirit of haka (traditional power dance), the hongi (sharing the breath of life), the art of introduction, song, and more.
We will also look at light and shadow and liberating ourselves from limiting belief structures. As well as exploring masculine/feminine practices that are profoundly honouring, healing, connecting and empowering.
We will up-skill our communication so that deep healing can happen in intimate relationship, family and business places.
We will embody this work through haka, yoga, dance and embodiment practices.
Participants will leave with ancient yet practical tools that will help them to walk through life with more confidence and compassion, strength and intuition, mana and heart, peace and courage to speak their own authentic truth.

The Teaching Team
Sarsha is a teacher of teachers and has over 20 years experience as a facilitator, yoga teacher, embodiment guide and ecstatic dance space holder.
She has held many teacher training’s, retreats and workshops here in Aotearoa and around the world and has a gift of bringing people into connection with themselves, each other and the earth.
Sarsha creates brave, tender, inclusive, safe and fun spaces for our hearts to unfold, heal and embrace our most empowered soul self.
Matiu’s approach is welcoming, inspiring, fun and empowering.
He has over 20 years experience as a Maori language and performance teacher.
He is engaging facilitator, dynamic international musician, playwriter, storyteller and a leader amongst his own communities.

Guidelines
Payment is required in full at the time of booking, by credit or debit card, or direct bank transfer using our secure POLi payment gateway.
We draw special attention to two of our guidelines before registration: Mana provides lacto-ovo vegetarian food only, this means no fish or chicken and is an alcohol and drug free environment.
Cancellation Policy
This group requires a minimum number of participants to go ahead, if that number is not reached we reserve the right to cancel the event.
Should you, for any reason, decide to cancel your registration, please note our cancellation policy :
- 30 days or more prior to the start of an event, a refund will be made less a $50 administrative fee, and your spot will be offered to someone else.
- 10 – 29 days prior to the start of an event, a refund will be made less a $200 administrative fee. Event bookings less than $200 receive no refund.
- 0-9 days prior to the start of an event, no refund will be made.
- These policies are reassessed in certain circumstances.
