Rising, A Dance and Yoga Retreat with Neal Ghoshal and Sacha Paddy
September 1 @ 4:00 pm - September 3 @ 2:00 pm$360.00 – $590.00
Join Neal Ghoshal and Sacha Paddy on this Open Floor Dance and Yoga Immersive Retreat.
Spring is the season of emergence, new growth and vitality. We see new life around us and possibility is in the air. In this moment, at the beginning of Spring, it is also a potent time to shed the old and nurture the new seeds of change. As we gather during this weekend we create the opportunity to intentionally follow the natural impulse to move towards the light and open to the delight of spring.
The rising energy can be harnessed to support and inspire our own growth, expansion and rejuvenation
With the guiding light of Open Floor Dance, we will move, connect, rest and reflect. We will set new intentions, and open pathways to move into our life with a refreshed vitality and joy. Both the Yoga and dance practices are open to all those with a willingness to move and explore. We hope you can join us for this beautiful weekend!
What do others say about this retreat:
“Sacha and Neal make a beautiful team and the love and kindness between them resonates out into the group. Loving-kindness throughout the weekend with permission and encouragement to allow yourself to be yourself, and find the joy of being alive in your body, in this place, now. Beautiful. I am very grateful for the experience and leave feeling more loving towards myself”. Sam Mitchell
The Teaching Team
My intention is to bring awareness of the sacred into my everyday life, connecting to spirit through dance, yoga and massage in my own practices and in the work I do with others. My path has been one of listening to the profound teachings of nature and of reclaiming my intuition and body connection. When I discovered the 5 Rhythms Dance of Gabrielle Roth in 2000, I instantly fell in love with the freedom I felt as well as the potential of this practice to guide me through my life.
Neal has been practicing yoga for 25 years and teaching since 2003. He sees yoga as a guide to restoring our place and understanding of who we are and how we can live peacefully, happily and completely fulfilled. Neal’s teaching focuses on exploring and refining natural movement and alignment principles – learning to embody these principles in a way that takes our spiritual practice into our everyday lives.
Neal has taught on teacher training programs in Australia and New Zealand, has been senior faculty on Donna Farhi’s Advanced Teacher Training Program, and been a keynote speaker at the IYTA Conference.
“My aim in teaching is to create a safe and inviting space in which to learn and discover Yoga as a balance between effort and effortlessness, structural alignment and organic fluidity, mindfulness and spontaneity.
Neal is interested in supporting and growing students’ skill in sensing and feeling their way in their movement, so that they learn to fully trust in and be confident of their own perception, and make independent choices in their practice and their lives.
“Ultimately, the practice of Yoga leads us to a place where we may respond to life’s challenges with ease in our breath and body, with wise choices, and with kindness and a compassionate heart”.
Neal is a founder member and part of the core faculty of the Contemporary Yoga Teacher Training program, based in Auckland, New Zealand.
