This organic\, home-grown retreat is hosted and held by the team here at Mana\, who encourage you to deepen your own practice or try something new through the different modalities offered to you throughout the weekend. \nAcross the retreat\, a range of practices will be available\, including gentle yoga\, qi gong\, meditation\, and conscious movement. Each offering is designed to support a more connected relationship with body\, breath\, and awareness. \nMana is the most beautiful\, tranquil place to visit—an opportunity to step away from life for a while. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming\, and the food is both nourishing and delicious. I’ve visited a number of times now and will continue to return. It’s a truly special environment—so thoughtfully cared for\, from the land itself to the food and the practices offered. I felt supported\, at ease\, and able to fully turn my attention inward. The facilitators were present and grounded\, creating space for genuine connection. A deeply restorative and meaningful weekend. \n\nWhat’s Included? \n\nThree nights accommodation\nBreakfast\, lunch\, and dinner – wholesome vegetarian meals\nA daily schedule of sessions suitable for all levels of experience\nTime to relax\, have a sauna\, bush bath or massage\n\nPlease note: the schedule may shift slightly across the weekend.  \nMassage appointments are available at an additional cost and can be booked in advance. \n \n\nIntroducing\n \nYour Teachers \nAmrit Saraswati is a dedicated student and teacher of yoga and meditation. She completed her first yoga teacher training in 2012 and has been learning\, deepening and sharing traditional yoga practices in various retreat centres around New Zealand for the last decade. She teaches with compassion\, authenticity and humility. Her calm and concise teaching allows people to go deep within themselves and have their own unique experience. \n  \nHedwig Bakker grew up in the Netherlands\, was trained as a teacher physical education and worked as an outdoor instructor for 15 years until she left the Netherlands in 2000. Initially she travelled overseas\, then lived in India and Nepal for nine years where she engaged in Buddhist teachings & retreats and several charity projects. \n \nHedwig has been practicing meditation for over two decades and has been leading meditation classes\, courses and retreats since 2004. She is also a certified Holden Qi Gong teacher and leads all kinds of Qi Gong events. These many years of personal practice and leading retreats & courses have resulted in a richness of experience and a genuine joy in sharing and guiding others in meditation & movement practice. Hedwig’s courses & classes are universal and suitable for people from all walks of life.
