SUMMARY:Wild Grace - Open Floor Dance and Yoga Retreat with Sacha Paddy and Neal Ghoshal
DESCRIPTION:When we give ourselves the opportunity to connect with and trust our body in movement\, we create space for a sweet yet wild grace to emerge. From here\nwe can meet life in all it’s fierceness with more responsiveness and openness.\nWe invite you join us for this nearly Spring weekend of enriching and creative Open Floor Dance\, Yoga and nature meditations to bring a deeper sense of\naliveness and embodiment into your life. \nThere is a lightness of being\, a soulful way of inhabiting the body\, which deepens our connection with life. \nDuring this retreat with the guiding lights of yoga and Open Floor Dance we will move\, dance\, connect\, rest and reflect supported by the beauty of the land at Mana Retreat. \nNo experience of yoga or dance is needed to join the workshop. We welcome everyone with a curiosity to move and explore. \n\nIntroducing\nYour Teachers\nSacha Paddy \nI’ve always loved movement\, and discovering conscious dance through 5Rhythms and then Open Floor was a revelation to find practices that supported such depth of exploration and transformation whilst still being dynamic\, light and fun. I have now been teaching dance for nearly 20 years\, and have witnessed the power of movement in community to grow\, connect and heal us\, and also how much this goodness is needed in the world.\nI’m a lover of nature\, trees\, birds and ocean swims\, and seeking ways through movement practice to remind us of our rightful relationship with earth and with each other. \nTrainings include: \n\nCertified teacher of Open Floor and 5Rhythms Dance\nDiploma in Holistic Bodywork\nYoga teaching\nCertificate in Somatic Embodiment & Regulation Strategies\n\nNeal Ghoshal \nNeal has been practicing Yoga for over twenty years and teaching since 2003. He sees Yoga as a guide to restoring our place and understanding of who we are and how we can live peacefully\, happily and fulfilled. Neal’s teaching focuses on exploring and refining natural movement and alignment principles – learning to embody these principles in a way that takes our spiritual practice into our everyday lives. \nMy aim in teaching is to create a safe and inviting space in which to learn and discover Yoga as a balance between effort and effortlessness\, structural alignment and organic fluidity\, mindfulness and spontaneity. Ultimately\, the practice of Yoga leads us to a place where we may respond to life’s challenges with ease in our breath and body\, with wise choices\, and with heartful kindness. \nHe has taught on teacher training programs in Australia and New Zealand\, has been senior faculty on Donna Farhi’s Advanced Teacher Training Program\, and\nis a founder member of the Contemporary Yoga Teacher Training program\, based in Auckland. Neal is also an experienced Holistic and Thai massage therapist\, loves music and sometime kirtan chant leader. Neal and Sacha live on beautiful Waiheke Island with their daughter Tula.

DESCRIPTION:Join Juliet Forch for a weekend that includes a variety of practices to nourish and rejuvenate.\nJuliet offers a Yoga practice that is suitable for beginners and those with many years of practice. You can find more information on Juliet and her studio\, Papakura Yoga\, on her website at the following link: www.papakurayoga.co.nz \n\nIntroducing\nThe Teaching Team\nJuliet Forch \nWith a Yoga Journey dating from 1990\, Juliet the founder of Papakura Yoga Centre exudes a passion for Yoga and continuous learning. She believes that Yoga teaches us about ourselves as it leads us to a deeper understanding of how to live with greater kindness and compassion. \nJuliet completed her initial Teacher training with the International Yoga Body in NZ. She later delved into advanced studies with Donna Farhi and Judith Lasater. Her curiosity about the Human Body / Movement in general and Yoga has led her down many different paths; infusing her teaching today with a blend of natural movement\, somatic awareness\, modern biomechanics along with the ancient wisdom of Yoga. She encourages each person to meet themselves with complete acceptance whilst at the same time opening the pathways for transformation. \nOff the Mat Juliet enjoys tramping / walking\, her 9 grandchildren \, gardening\, reading\, exploring Aoteoroa and most recently she has committed to strength training 2x per week; finding it to be a wonderful (and surprising) compliment to Yoga. \n

I have been living in New Zealand for about 20 years. I started my own Yoga company called Yummy Yoga in 2013 and have enjoyed adding more and more classes to our schedule as the demand has increased. Nicki joined me a few years ago and has become my trusty right-hand Teacher at Yummy Yoga.\nI attended a few Retreats at Mana myself a while back\, and then I started holding my own retreats\, along with Nicki and another awesome teacher. I think this is our fifth retreat at Mana and we seem to enjoy it more every time!We are looking forward to offering another wonderful weekend of delicious self-care! Nicki and I will have many offerings for you – and everything will be optional: Some wonderful walks\, Flow yoga\, Yin Yoga\, Fun Yoga and Yoga Nidra Meditations: All available for those of you would like to join us. \n  \n\nNicki I first started going to yoga classes with my Mom and my Gran when I was about 14 years old. However\, I have memories of looking at a picture book of yoga asana that my Gran had\, when I was just a little girl\, and being fascinated with a picture of someone doing Lion pose (with their tongue sticking out as they “roared”) Even today\, Simhasana is probably one of my favourite poses because it reminds me of my Gran. Although I have been practicing yoga on and off for many years\, I decided to dive deeper into it\, (inspired by Caroline) and to train to become a Yoga Teacher. It has been such a wonderful journey and I cannot wait to get back to Mana and share the beauty of yoga with you all on this fabulous Mana Retreat weekend together! \n\nRegistration\n  \nFor further information about the Retreat\, please see Yummy Yoga \nAnd/Or email Caroline@yummyyoga.co.nz \n
