SUMMARY:Nature and Nurture: Yoga and Breathwork Retreat with Jo Monaghan
DESCRIPTION:Nature & Nurture: Yoga and Breathwork Retreat\nWith Jo Monaghan\n\nNature & Nurture – Disconnect to Reconnect.\nAt Mana\, Nature is Nurture.\nYou arrive and feel the energy shift.\nTake a long exhale and let go\, breathe in and relax.\nThis weekend to invites you to disconnect to reconnect – with yourself\, Nature and each other.\nFrom morning Hatha yoga and breathwork\, to evening Yin Yoga and relaxation\, you are invited to explore what works for you.\nAnd if you want to dive deeper\, join me for a Breath & The Nervous System workshop\, exploring what happens to our bodies when we get stressed and what we can do to bring ourselves back to feeling grounded and centred.\nEverything is optional and all you need to do is decide the flow of the days that will help you relax\, recharge and reconnect.\nThe classes are for all levels\, people new to retreats and yoga are welcome.\nPlease be mindful that if you are an experienced yogi wanting a challenge then this probably is not the retreat for you. \n\nWhat Your Retreat Includes\n\nDaily Hatha Flow and Yin Yoga\nBreathwork practices\nStress and the Nervous System Workshop\nDelicious healthy meals (and great desserts!)\nNature walks and mountain hikes\nSauna and bush bath\nTime to unwind and relax\n\nMassages can be booked directly with Mana for an extra cost. \nHead over to https://www.jomonaghan.com/mana2026 to check out the video of previous retreats.\nThis is my seventh year at Mana\, I can hardly believe it\, I hope you can join me. \n\nThe schedule\n– this is a guideline as we will “go with the flow” depending on the group’s energy/needs. \nFriday\nArrival from 11am\nLunch\nYoga and opening circle\nFree time\nDinner\nEvening Yin \nSaturday\nMorning Yoga\nBreakfast\nFree time\nLunch\nBreath & the Nervous System Workshop\nDinner\nEvening Yin Yoga \nSunday\nMorning session TBC\nBreakfast\nYoga & Closing Circle\nLunch\nFarewells \n\nWhat other’s say about this retreat\n“The yoga retreat was epic. Jo is a fantastic yoga instructor and guided me with ease to find my level of ability. No pressure\, my pace and a fun retreat. I highly recommend you put Jo on your bucket list !!”\n“What a wonderful experience at the Mana retreat. This was my second time attending Jo’s retreat with three friends\, and we could not fault her retreat. Jo is extremely intuitive and naturally understands what we want: a mixture of yoga and breathwork it’s like a big hug and pure bliss. It is just what the doctor ordered\, and we will most certainly be back.”\n“This retreat was just what I needed – it was the perfect length\, in the perfect location. Jo’s teaching style is so inclusive and non-confrontational. She brings yoga back to what it should be\, which is enjoyable and what is comfortable for you. I would definitely come again!” \n\nAbout me – Jo Monaghan\nHaving spent decades in the corporate world\, I understand how stress impacts us and the benefits of yoga\, meditation and breathwork to create a balanced life.\nI also understand how hard it is sometimes to switch off and just “be”\, and my retreats are designed to help you do that\, in a relaxed\, inclusive and positive way.\nI believe that Yoga is all about connection\, to oneself and to others. Yoga has always uplifted me and enabled me to thrive and become more in flow with life\, able to meet its challenges more easily.\nI am a 500Hr RYT certified yoga teacher\, I teach Vinyasa Flow\, Hatha Yoga and Yin these days\, and love all of them!\nI love teaching yoga and have expanded this to creating wellbeing retreats in epic locations that are intended to help you ‘disconnect to reconnect’ with Nature\, yourselves and each other.\nTo describe my teaching style\, I would say I am inclusive\, open and perceptive – I want people to feel relaxed and comfortable\, whatever their level of experience and enjoy themselves\, whether this is their first retreat or one of many. \nFeel free to contact me directly or for more information check out my website: www.jomonaghan.com/wellbeing \nWebsite contact info:\nwww.jomonaghan.com\nemail: jo@jomonaghan.com\ntel: 021 547 245

SUMMARY:5 Day Mindful Self-Compassion Intensive with Dr Anna Friis and Dr Robyn Charlton
DESCRIPTION:5-Day Mindful Self-Compassion Intensive\nWith Dr Anna Friis and Dr Robyn Charlton\nThis immersive five-day experience offers the complete Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) programme in a spacious\, restorative retreat setting.\nMindful Self-Compassion integrates the skills of mindfulness and compassion to support emotional resilience\, nervous-system regulation\, and a kinder relationship with ourselves. Developed by Dr Kristin Neff and Dr Christopher Germer\, MSC uses guided meditation\, experiential practices\, reflective exercises\, and gentle inquiry to help us meet difficulty with warmth rather than self-criticism. \nOver five days\, we step out of the busyness of everyday life and into a rhythm of practice\, rest\, and connection — learning how to become our own steady ally in\nmoments of stress\, uncertainty\, and change. Self-compassion is not self-indulgence or avoidance. It is a courageous inner stance that allows us to respond to struggle with clarity\, care\, and strength. \n\nWHAT THE RETREAT INCLUDES\n\n\n\nThe full Mindful Self-Compassion programme taught intensively over five days (fulfils the prerequisite for MSC Teacher Training)\nExclusive use of Mana Retreat Centre and grounds\nDelicious\, nourishing meals\nOptional yoga and Qigong classes\nCreative and reflective evening sessions\nTime for rest\, walking\, and integration\n\n\n\n\nTUITION\n$900 early bird (until 30 May 2027) \n$1000 thereafter \nAccommodation and meals additional. \n\nTESTIMONIALS\n“Working with you has changed the most important relationship in my life — the relationship with myself.” — Vanessa \n“You are both absolute gems. She is a senior teacher\, teacher trainer and mentor on the CMSC’s global training team. She is also a facilitator and teacher of the Self-Compassion in Psychotherapy (SCiP) training programme\, an initiative that trains mental health professionals from around the world in how to integrate the science and practise of self-compassion into their clinical work. Anna holds a PhD in Health Psychology from the University of Auckland\, where her research contributed new scientific knowledge on the mental and physical health effects of self-compassion among people living with diabetes.
