SUMMARY:Journey with Exiles with Jory Agate
DESCRIPTION:In this workshop\nParticipants will take a deep dive into working with clients’ most vulnerable parts and bringing healing to the internal system. The program will review the core healing steps of Internal Family Systems therapy\, with particular attention to advanced nuances of the unburdening process.\nWe will explore how to recognize when there is permission to work with Exiles and how to transition to them; how to cultivate and sustain a Self-to-Exile connection; and how to discern the role of the therapist’s Self in the healing process. Through didactic teaching\, demonstrations\, experiential exercises\, and small-group practice and sharing\, clinicians will refine their capacity to move skillfully through the healing process with their clients. \n\nBy the end of this workshop\, participants will be able to:\n• Identify the seven main steps of the healing process and how they might be adapted in their client’s healing process.\n• Name reasons why exiles might be reluctant to trust Self and release burdens.\n• Differentiate the experience from burden and indicate when it is appropriate to witness/do over and when it is appropriate to release.\n• Demonstrate strategies for cultivating and maintaining a Self-to-Exile connection hile navigating protective system dynamics.\n• Assess the role of the therapist’s Self-energy in facilitating healing and explore the degree that one’s own parts impede the healing process\n• Apply direct access interventions to support Exile healing while maintaining attunement and client safety.\n• Name a few reasons why burdens may return. \n*Prerequisite: This is a workshop for IFS Level 1 graduates or above level. \n\nIntroducing\nYour Teacher\nJory Agate is a senior IFS lead trainer\, teaching IFS Level 1 and 2 internationally. She is a therapist and consultant with private practice in Cambridge\, MA. She is committed to creating a collaborative clinical space that honors the cultural uniqueness of her clients. SUMMARY:ReWild for Men with Jaime Howell
DESCRIPTION:ReWild: Men\, Power & Purpose\nA three-day rite of passage for men hungry for a wiser relationship with strength\, grief\, purpose\, and belonging. \nA long weekend to slow down\, come back to yourself\, and reconnect with the parts of being human that modern life often pushes aside. \nThrough music\, guided movement\, time in nature\, council practice\, creative exploration\, and honest conversation\, we will explore what it means to mature into wholehearted adulthood in a time of ecological and cultural change. \nThis work is grounded in nature-based human development\, rites of passage traditions\, the power of music and the wider movement known as The Great Turning. \nAt the heart of the human experience is our relationship with power. Power is the underbelly of modernity. Modernity is the dominant system built on separation\, certainty\, endless growth\, and the exploitation of people and Earth. The quest for power shows up in domination over nature\, unbridled capitalism and greed\, and the echoes and inheritance of colonisation. \nMany men carry the wounds of all this in their bodies and into their relationships. We are aware that many fathers did not know how to attune to the needs of their children\, their own fathers often damaged by war. \nMaturing masculinity is about the choice we have to heal and make whole these wounds\, to use them to become more aware and compassionate\, to help each other\, and to support younger men and children to come. \nWe are living in times that call for a healthy\, life-affirming relationship with power. The theme of this retreat is to come into an embodied form of power with life — the power of wisdom\, the power of interconnectedness\, the power of deeply belonging. A form of power rooted in presence\, responsibility\, courage\, and care. \nWho is this for? \n\nMen seeking more creativity\, vitality\, and purpose.\nMen carrying responsibility in leadership\, family\, business\, or community who are interested in Rites of passage processes.\nMen navigating transition\, midlife\, loss\, or change.\nMen longing for deeper connections with other men.\nMen who want to grow\, laugh\, feel more alive\, and belong to something larger than themselves.\nMen who value art\, myth\, poetry\, music\, and imagination as pathways to transformation\n\n\n\nMeet Your\nYour Guide Jaime Howell\nJaime Howell (MEd Transformative Education) is founder of the Centre for the Great Turning and has spent many years working with nature-based rites of passage\, grief work\, and community processes that help people reconnect with belonging and purpose. His work is influenced by Bill Plotkin\, Francis Weller\, Robert Bly\, Martin Shaw\, Joanna Macy\, Open Floor practice\, contemplative traditions\, and mythopoetic approaches to human development. Jaime values instinct\, intuition and imagination. He loves being in wild nature\, plays a mean blues guitar and is an grassroots poet. \n  \nAbout Les Gray \nLes began doing specifically Mens work in 1980 with the For Men collective\, conducting a number of workshops around the north island. With that collective in 1984 he coconvened the first national hui to address men’s violence to women and children. He went on to be one of the pioneers of Stopping Violence group programs\, serving on the national executive committee founding Men for Nonviolence and in turn serving as convenor of that committee. Les was known to the Karaka Tribe and Jim Horton of the Tui Community in Golden Bay. Les has a long association with the Essentially Men community\, serving as a trustee and as an Elder in the Pathways to Manhood programme. Within that context he developed a 7 day Pathways to Elderhood programme. Currently Les regularly attends EM events and co-facilitates an annual Old Blokes gathering \nThis is a new generation of mens work…it will be safe enough\, involve your whole body/mind/soul\, nature\, music and movement and myth. \n\nFOR BOOKINGS and more INFORMATION:\nContact: Jaime Howell – jaimeopeningminds@gmail.com \nhttps://events.humanitix.com/rewildformenatmana26 \nIf you are wanting a scholarship please email Jaimeopeningminds@gmail.com

You can find more information on Juliet and her studio\, Papakura Yoga\, on her website at the following link: www.papakurayoga.co.nz \n\nIntroducing\nThe Teaching Team\nJuliet Forch \nWith a Yoga Journey dating from 1990\, Juliet the founder of Papakura Yoga Centre exudes a passion for Yoga and continuous learning. She believes that Yoga teaches us about ourselves as it leads us to a deeper understanding of how to live with greater kindness and compassion. \nJuliet completed her initial Teacher training with the International Yoga Body in NZ. She later delved into advanced studies with Donna Farhi and Judith Lasater. Her curiosity about the Human Body / Movement in general and Yoga has led her down many different paths; infusing her teaching today with a blend of natural movement\, somatic awareness\, modern biomechanics along with the ancient wisdom of Yoga. She encourages each person to meet themselves with complete acceptance whilst at the same time opening the pathways for transformation. \nOff the Mat Juliet enjoys tramping / walking\, her 9 grandchildren \, gardening\, reading\, exploring Aoteoroa and most recently she has committed to strength training 2x per week; finding it to be a wonderful (and surprising) compliment to Yoga. \n
