SUMMARY:Open Floor Community Dance
DESCRIPTION:Join a fabulous Open Floor Dance community\, sharing the joy of embodied movement most Tuesdays at Mana.  \nWhen: \nMost Tuesday Mornings at Mana. \nTime: 10:00–11:45AM / COST: $25-$20 Sliding Scale \nFeel free to arrive from 9:45am. T he music will be on if you’d like a longer warmup\, or if you’re new come early so we can welcome you. \nWhat is Open Floor Conscious Dance? \nOpen Floor is a lively dance and movement practice that energises the body and opens the mind. \nThere are no moves to learn. We simply show up and move with whatever is present: our creative minds\, our tender hearts\, our joys and excitements\, our aches and pains. And in the process we discover our own unique dance. \nClasses include guided inquiry as well as time to follow your own dance. The teachers select diverse music to inspire creative expression\, wild abandon and quiet awareness. Sometimes we experience insights and healing\, and sometimes we simply have a great dance. \nThe open dance floor becomes a playground for exploring the relational nature of being human: our ever-changing needs for solitude\, connection and a sense of community. We learn life skills that serve us on and off the dance floor\, helping us to develop a flexibility and resilience that enables us to respond creatively to life. \nNo experience is required. \nThe invitation is to come just as you are. \nFOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT OPEN FLOOR DANCE LOCATIONS CONTACT PIPPA OR LISA \nPippa: 02102963632 or visit Prana Dance \nInstagram: @pranadance_nz / www.facebook\,com/pranadance \nLisa: 0211754741 or visit www.wildbonesopenfloor.co.nz \nFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/wildbonesopenfloor \nEmail: wildbonesopenfloor@gmail.com

SUMMARY:Wild Grace - Open Floor Dance and Yoga Retreat with Sacha Paddy and Neal Ghoshal
DESCRIPTION:When we give ourselves the opportunity to connect with and trust our body in movement\, we create space for a sweet yet wild grace to emerge. From here\nwe can meet life in all it’s fierceness with more responsiveness and openness.\nWe invite you join us for this nearly Spring weekend of enriching and creative Open Floor Dance\, Yoga and nature meditations to bring a deeper sense of\naliveness and embodiment into your life. \nThere is a lightness of being\, a soulful way of inhabiting the body\, which deepens our connection with life. \nDuring this retreat with the guiding lights of yoga and Open Floor Dance we will move\, dance\, connect\, rest and reflect supported by the beauty of the land at Mana Retreat. \nNo experience of yoga or dance is needed to join the workshop. We welcome everyone with a curiosity to move and explore. \n\nIntroducing\nYour Teachers\nSacha Paddy \nI’ve always loved movement\, and discovering conscious dance through 5Rhythms and then Open Floor was a revelation to find practices that supported such depth of exploration and transformation whilst still being dynamic\, light and fun. I have now been teaching dance for nearly 20 years\, and have witnessed the power of movement in community to grow\, connect and heal us\, and also how much this goodness is needed in the world.\nI’m a lover of nature\, trees\, birds and ocean swims\, and seeking ways through movement practice to remind us of our rightful relationship with earth and with each other. \nTrainings include: \n\nCertified teacher of Open Floor and 5Rhythms Dance\nDiploma in Holistic Bodywork\nYoga teaching\nCertificate in Somatic Embodiment & Regulation Strategies\n\nNeal Ghoshal \nNeal has been practicing Yoga for over twenty years and teaching since 2003. He sees Yoga as a guide to restoring our place and understanding of who we are and how we can live peacefully\, happily and fulfilled. Neal’s teaching focuses on exploring and refining natural movement and alignment principles – learning to embody these principles in a way that takes our spiritual practice into our everyday lives. \nMy aim in teaching is to create a safe and inviting space in which to learn and discover Yoga as a balance between effort and effortlessness\, structural alignment and organic fluidity\, mindfulness and spontaneity. Ultimately\, the practice of Yoga leads us to a place where we may respond to life’s challenges with ease in our breath and body\, with wise choices\, and with heartful kindness. \nHe has taught on teacher training programs in Australia and New Zealand\, has been senior faculty on Donna Farhi’s Advanced Teacher Training Program\, and\nis a founder member of the Contemporary Yoga Teacher Training program\, based in Auckland. Neal is also an experienced Holistic and Thai massage therapist\, loves music and sometime kirtan chant leader. Neal and Sacha live on beautiful Waiheke Island with their daughter Tula.

SUMMARY:Journey with Exiles with Jory Agate
DESCRIPTION:In this workshop\nParticipants will take a deep dive into working with clients’ most vulnerable parts and bringing healing to the internal system. The program will review the core healing steps of Internal Family Systems therapy\, with particular attention to advanced nuances of the unburdening process.\nWe will explore how to recognize when there is permission to work with Exiles and how to transition to them; how to cultivate and sustain a Self-to-Exile connection; and how to discern the role of the therapist’s Self in the healing process. Through didactic teaching\, demonstrations\, experiential exercises\, and small-group practice and sharing\, clinicians will refine their capacity to move skillfully through the healing process with their clients. \n\nBy the end of this workshop\, participants will be able to:\n• Identify the seven main steps of the healing process and how they might be adapted in their client’s healing process.\n• Name reasons why exiles might be reluctant to trust Self and release burdens.\n• Differentiate the experience from burden and indicate when it is appropriate to witness/do over and when it is appropriate to release.\n• Demonstrate strategies for cultivating and maintaining a Self-to-Exile connection hile navigating protective system dynamics.\n• Assess the role of the therapist’s Self-energy in facilitating healing and explore the degree that one’s own parts impede the healing process\n• Apply direct access interventions to support Exile healing while maintaining attunement and client safety.\n• Name a few reasons why burdens may return. \n*Prerequisite: This is a workshop for IFS Level 1 graduates or above level. \n\nIntroducing\nYour Teacher\nJory Agate is a senior IFS lead trainer\, teaching IFS Level 1 and 2 internationally.
