ESTABLISHED IN 1988
For more than 30 years we have been holding space for group retreats, workshops and professional development trainings. During this time, thousands of people have visited our Retreat Centre on the Coromandel. To experience mind-body education, spiritual exploration and renewal.
In addition to catering for visiting groups and guests, we are also supported by volunteer workers from around the world and contracted local staff.
Established as a charitable trust, we are a non-profit organisation seeking to find ways to support well-being on all levels. Our vision is supported by the kindness of individuals who give in many ways.
It is our intention to create an environment of beauty, simplicity and inspiration. More specifically, it is our aspiration to hold a sacred space for all to step into the fullness of their potential.
“May our actions produce happiness and illumination for the uplifting of the world.” ~Dalai Lama
We look forward to welcoming you.

Mana Retreat Centre is an eco friendly environment. We work with the awareness that everything is connected and interdependent.
We live simply and mindfully; sharing in the work with the kindness of individuals who visit and contribute to Mana. The Mana experience is one that is wholesome, sustainable and inclusive.
We focus on three key areas that make up our vision for Mana:
The people the land, and the buildings.
We place special emphasis on giving back in support of a long lasting, healthy and thriving community.
the people
We encourage all people the opportunity to come to Mana, no matter their walks of life.
Mana donates to local Community Services and Charities to provide opportunities to those who may not otherwise be able to come to Mana.
Our Work Exchange Program offers people the opportunity to volunteer at Mana in return for wholesome, simple living.
the land
We hold all inclusive Working Bee Weekends for people wanting to experience Mana, in exchange for the sharing of work on the land and buildings.
We care deeply for the land that provides for us; the gardens, flowers, birds and bees, bush tracks, and mountain; and plant tree’s on the land every year as part of our Carbon Offset Program.
the buildings
Mana Retreat Centre was built with sustainability in mind; utilizing natural materials and preserving native hardwoods wherever possible. When you step inside the buildings you can feel their natural energies!
It is our role as guardians to care and look after them as we want people to enjoy Mana buildings for many years to come.
meet the
mana team.
So much of what we do at Mana would not be possible without the generous, kind hearted people. Meet our team…

I know that all of this does not just happen. Your organisation behind the scenes make a beautiful place in a wonderful location really special.
