An introduction to the foundations of yogic meditation and nervous system regulation.

Treat yourself to an afternoon of coming alive through yoga, breathing exercises, meditation, guided relaxation, and afternoon tea.

During this half day workshop, Lauren will introduce you to a very accessible systematic approach to calming the nervous system through healthy breathing practices and breath aligned movement.

This will lead into an introduction to a simple five step process for a foundational meditation practice from the Himalayan tradition.

There will be two sessions, with a tea break in between.


Introducing Your

Teacher

Lauren Henry has an extensive background in studies of yoga, meditation, tai chi, qi gong, and music from teachers around the world. His approach to teaching Yoga and Meditation is firmly rooted in the eight limbs of Yoga as codified by the sage Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras.

Lauren’s qualifications include:

– Hatha Yoga 200 hr YTT

– Vishoka Meditation teacher training

– Yoga Nidra certification

– Qi Gong instructor

– Sound Bowl Healing facilitation

– extensive studies in Afro Cuban percussion

 

LAUREN HENRY

Completed his first Yoga Teacher Training in 2006 and has been practicing and immersing himself in the study of classical Yoga ever since. 10 years ago, he had the opportunity to visit India and has been training in the Himalayan Tradition of Hatha Yoga and Yogic Meditation through a direct lineage since that visit. He is passionate about guiding people through these practices and transmitting foundational techniques that anyone can take with them and apply to their own practice and life.

Guidelines

Payment is required in full at the time of booking, by credit or debit card, or direct bank transfer using our secure POLi payment gateway.

We draw special attention to two of our guidelines before registration: Mana provides lacto-ovo vegetarian food only, this means no fish or chicken and is an alcohol and drug free environment.

Mana caters for Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Vegan.

Mana Retreat Centre acts as agent for independent teachers. Teaching services are supplied by the teacher, while Mana provides accommodation and meals.

Cancellation Policy

This group requires a minimum number of participants to go ahead, if that number is not reached we reserve the right to cancel the event.

Should you, for any reason, decide to cancel your registration; please note our cancellation policy::

  • A $50 administrative fee is applied to all cancellations prior to 72 hours before event.
  • A $100 administrative fee is applied to all cancellations within 72 hours of event.
  • A Tuition cancellation fee may apply in certain circumstances.
  • These policies are reassessed in certain circumstances.
