How to Live an Astoundingly Meaningful & Purposeful Life
Date

The New Year is often a time when we get swept up in the conventional process of setting resolutions and writing lists of all the things we want to achieve in the coming year. This end goal focus doesn’t allow much space for the fluidity of life to carry us. That is why I have created this simple, yet profoundly touching ritual to help us get to the root of what is truly meaningful.

It seems as though there is increasing pressure for us to ‘find our purpose’ in life. With it, we can gain more clarity, focus and direction, and optimally, discover a noble way for our gifts to be of service in this world and to others.

Similarly, this quest for Purpose promises to make our lives more meaningful and worthwhile.

However, as is the nature of our patriarchal ways of thinking, we have managed to turn this spiritual quest into yet another ambitious goal.

Paradoxically, it is the search for our purpose that has derailed us.

I spent years reading books, awakening to new philosophies, exploring the depths of my being in the hopes to be able to find out how I fit into the puzzle of life. And yes. The journey led me towards a more intuitive, trust in the path that I am walking. However, it also led to the discovery that it is the moments when I stopped ‘trying’ – when I simply surrender to the creative impulses arising – that I realise my purpose wants to be lived through me.

I came to the revelation that our purpose is not something we have to attain or reach. It is not an endpoint or goal. It is, in all its simplicity, within us. Our job is to get out of the way; to let go of our ideals and expectations and simply show up to life.

Perhaps this over simplifying it. In general, I think we lean towards over complicating things, and making processes which are somewhat effortless, more convuluted. So it stands to reason that simplification is what is needed.

What if your life purpose was not something you have to attain but instead something you open to receiving?

What does it mean to get out of our own way and show up to life?

As you well know, the dance between our divine feminine and masculine essence is a core theme in my world. The nature of our ‘life-purpose’ enquiry is intricatly woven into the current state of imbalance we are experiencing inwardly and out, with these two divine forces.

In essence, the feminine is movtivated by love and creativity, by the free flowing momentum of life and life force. Again, an overly simplified view.

The masculine, finds motivation through having a purpose, through active participation in life. Fullfillment is derived by the sense of clarity, direction and focus that the ‘purpose’ offers.

When in harmony, the two dance beautifully.

The feminine gifts us the instinct to soften, adapt and co-create alongside the forces of life. The active process of creating that arises when we are in flow and in tune with our life force satisfies the motivations of our inner masculine. Our life feels purposeful and meaningful.

Not surprisingly, our patriachal ways of living have over emphasised the need for ‘having a purpose’. Focusing our awareness on the direction, of where we are going, what we are doing and how that will look when we get there.

Without the gifts of the feminine, this fruitless search is driven by the end goal and as the saying goes, it is not about the destination, it is about the journey of transformation we undergo along the way.

Our quest, in this time of shifting paradigm, is less about ‘finding our purpose’ and more about ‘living in attunement’.

Just like the roots of the tree dont questions which direction to grow, so too does our life purpose want to live through us

Living in Attunment

To be in attunement is to be receptive and aware. This is the key to living an astoundingly meaningful and purposeful life.

When we are attuned we are intuitively guided to express, create and show up to life in a way that is of benefit to all beings.

Think of time when you were called to do something just for the joy and love of it. And you followed that calling.

What do you remember about the way you approached what you were doing?

How did that experience impact you and others?

I want to hazard a guess and say that what you were doing felt meaningful and that the implications of your actions served some purpose, even if it didn’t make logical sense or conform to the societal expectations of achieving status or fortune.

It’s time to flip the narrative.

If we absolve our need to understand the how’s and why’s we can open to greater sense of trust in who we are in each evolving moment and the ways that we are called to express ourselves.

For me, the process of getting out of my head and into my body has been paramount to this discovery.

Learn to listen.

Feel.

Sense.

There is immense wisdom in the currents of energy, emotion and sensation moving in you.

Discover more and more ways to orient yourself to the interoceptive experience because it is the gateway to attunement.

“Deicide on what you want to feel and then create a world that supports it.”

This is the focus of the ritual I want to share with you today. It offers an embodied perspective that may just help you to see things in a new light.

The practice combines the clarity of higher perspective (masculine) with a felt sense experience (feminine) that may inspire an answer to the enquiry of, “what is truly meaningful in this life.”

I invite you to join me in the exploration. The ritual will take approximately 50-minutes.

I suggest creating a comfortable, sacred space for yourself to be at ease. You may like to lay down or prop yourself with pillows.

I highly recommend listening to this through headphones, and you can put your device to the side to allow your eyes to rest. Take a moment to get yourself settled and we can journey together.

Join me for this heart-moving embodied ritual to connect to what is truly meaningful.

I hope you have enjoyed this exploration. If you have, please like and subscribe to my YouTube channel, it means lot!

And, I welcome your thoughts and experiences on this topic. There is so much that we can learn from each other, and my ideas are just one perspective. Feel free to write a comment, I would love to hear from you.

Wishing you nourishing start to this New Year.

With love and blessings,

Jade
