Specific details related to the Traffic Light System
As a private venue for hire (not requiring vaccine passes) Mana is able to provide facilities, accommodation and meals for your gathering. Your gathering will have exclusive access to Mana.
Under the new traffic light system, gatherings are defined as NOT being an activity where entry is controlled through ticketing, fees, registration or other ways to control access.
As part of this agreement, it is essential that you meet due diligence with the government’s Covid-19 Protection Framework protocol for events and gatherings as the organiser. For more information visit https://www.business.govt.nz/covid-19/covid-19-protection-framework/events/
As a venue for hire during red level:
We can accommodate up to 25 people based on 1-metre physical distance in our common areas.
There are no restrictions on those who can attend, those with or without vaccine passes are welcome.
It is imperative that your guests scan or sign in for contact tracing on arrival.
We will invoice you, as the organiser, for the full amount based on the number of guests you are hosting. The minimum charge is for 12 people, and this amount is due six weeks before you arrive at Mana. We will invoice based on the minimum even if you have less than this attending.
The costs per person are;
$135 shared accommodation (shared bathroom), meals and exclusive use of facilities
$165 shared accommodation (ensuite), meals and exclusive use of facilities
$165 single room occupancy, meals and exclusive use of facilities
To secure your reservation $1000 is required at the time of confirming this agreement.
Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- 40 days or more prior to the start of an event, a refund of your deposit will be made less a $50 administrative fee.
- 10 – 29 days prior to the start of an event, a refund will be made less a $500 administrative fee.
- 0-9 days prior to the start of an event, no refund will be made.
- In the event that your gathering cancels due to changes in covid regulations and/or our ability to operate as a privately hired venue a full refund will be issued.
If you or a guest test positive for Covid-19 or become a close contact while staying at Mana Retreat Centre
If you or a guest test positive for Covid-19 or you’re informed that you are a ‘close contact’ of a Covid-19 case whilst staying at Mana, please isolate and notify the Duty Manager and centre team immediately.
It is highly unlikely that you will be able to extend your stay with us to complete your isolation. However, we may advise on a safe way to return for home isolation or we will assist you in finding an appropriate location to isolate until it is safe for you to return home.
