Immerse in a weekend of Bodylight mindful movement – The unique Bodylight® method draws from the wisdoms of ancient Yoga and Qi-gong, mixed with the modern Pilates approach to offer a whole mind-body education.
Learn how to influence and enhance your well-being using those practices. Improve your mind-body-breath connection, increase vitality and move more comfortably.
The weekend is facilitated by Edna Levy, the founder of the Bodylight method, a mindful movement method, based on and inspired by Yoga, Pilates, and Qi-gong. This weekend is for people of all ages and backgrounds who wish to learn and deepen their awareness of movement patterns while being nourished and gently encouraged to make positive changes in their life.
Set in the wonderful surroundings of Mana in the Coromandel, 120 hectares of native bush, waterfalls, walks, organic farm, and ocean views.

The Teaching Team
About Edna Levy:
Edna Levy was born in Israel. Started her formal Ballet training at the age of 4. At the age of 14, while continuing classical ballet training, Edna moved on to explore modern, contemporary and post-modern dance forms with the Rina Schenfeld dance school in Tel-Aviv. At the age of 16 Edna joined the Rina Schenfeld dance company and at 20 completed a diploma in dance, choreography, and dance pedagogy.
As well as choreographing and performing Edna continuously delved into various forms of bodywork to support her long hours of physical training. Among those were Yoga, Feldenkrais, Pilates, Alexander technique and Tai-chi.
Between 1990-1994 Edna was working in Sydney as a contemporary dancer, a dance teacher, and a body conditioning instructor.
Over the years Edna has developed the Bodylight® method, a unique mind-body awareness and conditioning method which she teaches to a large and diverse clientele. From professional dancers and athletes to people of all ages and walks of life.
After 6 years of sailing the pacific, Edna and her husband Yaron sailed to Auckland, with their yacht, “Temeraire”.
Edna has been teaching in various studios and institutions around Auckland including Unitec performing arts school, Black Grace studios, and The YMCA gyms.
In 2000 Edna opened the first Bodylight® studio in Orakei/Mission bay.
Edna and has facilitated numerous workshops, retreats and master classes. She has been offering the Bodylight® annual weekend retreat at Mana retreat centre for the last 20 years.
Payment is required in full at the time of booking, by credit or debit card, or direct bank transfer using our secure POLi payment gateway.
We draw special attention to two of our guidelines before registration: Mana provides lacto-ovo vegetarian food only, this means no fish or chicken and is an alcohol and drug free environment.
This group requires a minimum number of participants to go ahead, if that number is not reached we reserve the right to cancel the event.
Should you, for any reason, decide to cancel your registration, please note our cancellation policy :
- 30 days or more prior to the start of an event, a refund will be made less a $50 administrative fee, and your spot will be offered to someone else.
- 10 – 29 days prior to the start of an event, a refund will be made less a $200 administrative fee. Event bookings less than $200 receive no refund.
- 0-9 days prior to the start of an event, no refund will be made.
- These policies are reassessed in certain circumstances.
