Qi Gong as a Way of Life with Hedwig Bakker
December 2 @ 4:00 pm - December 4 @ 2:00 pm$360.00 – $540.00
Qi Gong (pronounced: ‘chi kung’) is an ancient Chinese practice of working with your internal energy to improve your state of being through gentle movement, breathing exercises, standing postures and meditation. Quite literally, ‘Qi’ means internal energy, and ‘Gong’ means skill or to work with. The practice also has a rich connection with the natural world.
Qi Gong is about learning nourishing practices for personal empowerment and wellbeing. Becoming your own best master: mastery of your energy, mastery of your life. Cultivating the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual energy that you want in any given moment or situation.
Becoming an expert at working with your own internal energy gives you the resources to have choices and to manifest the kind of day, the kind of week and the kind of life you want to have.
It is empowering to know that you have all the resources within yourself to increase your health & vitality, transform stress into relaxation, have a calm & clear mind, have balanced emotions and feel connected to yourself, to others, and to the natural world.
Qi Gong is easy to learn, enjoyable to do and for all abilities. The movements are slow, flowing, rhythmic, accessible, and practical. Combined with meditation, the benefits of the practice will soon be experienced.
In this retreat we will explore the five principles of Qi Gong:
- Energy, Vitality
- Flow, Ease, Relaxation
- Being present, Grounded, Centered
We will cultivate and strengthen these principles through Qi Gong practice, sitting meditation, walking meditation and breathwork. This will enable you to cultivate them as powerful inner qualities to live by, so that you can enrich your days, your connections with others and live more fulfilling lives.
Practicing Qi Gong & meditation is all about uncovering your inner resources for health, happiness, well-being, and fulfillment.
Please note that parts of this retreat will be conducted in silence.
